But, worry not because both of them are equally amazing and we are surprised on how well they work despite the price point. For a tip, you can get a better view of the moon with a barlow and moon filter which improves the experience so much. However, out of the box they are reliable, you can see the moon and its craters very closely with great details.
For the more sophisticated Jupiter, while you can’t see its moon in detail, this planet is easily visible with any of these telescopes and you can tell Saturn as well but using the eyepiece they come with, this planet looks very blurry unless you put barlow lens which should be able to magnify the image further.

The last part we want to talk about is the finder and for some reason, Celestron cheaper models often have an issue in this side while Orion did a good job and make its finder actually useful. The finder doesn’t track objects reliably and somehow it only pointed to the general area even after calibration, making it less useful despite the convenient purpose. It is probably less fine tuned and if you plan to locate distant objects, this finder may not be able to do the job.

Performance wise, these devices are amazing for the price point out of the box and if you are mostly seeing planets or clusters, we do think they are very amazing already, moreover, when added with the barlow lens which we do recommend to get. What’s different is how the finder of Orion works better than Celestron that seems to be less fine-tuned and not as useful.
You can always pick any model that fits your preference the most but between the two, if budget is very restricted AstroMaster 130EQ is a good option but adding a little bit more, we recommend SpaceProbe 130ST as overall it is more reliable especially with the finder.
